Default Need help with my Audi Cluster :| Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T

Hello guys, yesterday I did try to fix my Audi A4 2000 1.8T ACL Screen since it has a fews pixels of broken it in so I removed needles and the plastics covers and everythings to fix the screen, I did everytings carefully but when I tryed to put my Cluster back in, it wasnt working anymore, even when I start the car or when its off, the needle will not move as normally, just moving a big, maybe 3-4 mm up and down, and that's very bad since I just wanted to fix my ACL but now my whole cluster is useless now with these needles not working anymore and the 3 Acl screen not working eithers.

Hope someone can help me!
(add www. before, since I can't post url )

Do any of the lights light up when you turn on the stalk? Are you sure you connected all three connectors back tightly with a click? When you removed everything, did you remove all three lcd screens? Did you clean up your soldering work and flux with alcohol? The only thing I would suggest is to remove everything (except the LCD you put in) clean all your contacts with alcohol then reassemble. Here is a post on the zine covering a non working light.

did the LCD replacement DIY and now the white LEDs under the needles are not working

Good luck.

Yes, the lights will come on (Hand brake light etc)
All connectors are connected correctly..

I haven't removed the 3 LCD screen, just the one at left and right
I think that's where is my problem, I think there is not anymore contact between the lcd and connector :/

There seem to be some rubber that hold the left and right LCD screen so you can't solder that right
how to fix it then?

These didn't need to be removed in the first place but that is history. The 2 LCD screens on the left and right are non soldered and just use the white plastic surround and clips to hold the screens in place while the contacts touch the circuit board. I have a feeling you didn't seat them properly when you re installed them hence the take it apart again and re install everything this time being careful to make sure everything is seated properly.

Hi man, It's not working, I'm planning to buy an used one from Ebay, with about the same mile as mine had...

It's easy to swap them? do I need to do something with it or just plug it and it will work like my old one? Thx for answering! I really regret what I did :/
