Importan information needed... :(
Hi everyone.
i have an audi a4 1996 2.8L v6 and i need to find out 2 things about it.
1. My instrument cluster has a problem.
Everything works just fine but the speedometer and the touque gauges.
the RPM doesnt work at all and the speedometer does like a lil shake movement on the 0 km. and it stays there even if i drive. It doenst go up on speed. just the lil shake movement.
after i stop the car and i take the key out from the ignition it still does the shaking movement for about 3-4 seconds and then it stops.
2. What kind of coolant temperature sensor i need for my car.
I wnet to parts stores to ask for a replacement one and the asked me if its a 4 pin one or a 2 pin one and they gave me this parts that they have ...

Audi a4 Speedometer and Rpm not workin

Took a look around and could not find an answer for you, however alex from audi mississauga just offered to help you and will find out if anyone there has heard of the problem.

My buddy was wondering, if the instrument cluster was taken out, maybe to roll back KM, if the instrument cluster was taken out, it could have not be put back in correctly
