Help with Coolant
I have being looking around to see what was the best coolant for my 2000 Audi A4 and was told that i should use the G 12 Coolant which is suppose to be red. I checked under the hood and i believe the owner before used a different coolant which is now blue. I was wondering should i just go out and buy a coolant that can jus mix with anything and is 50/50 like Prestone Extended Life DEX-COOL Antifreeze/Coolant cause i have heard that is also good for audi.
Thanks

Re: Help with Coolant
Flush it right away, get G12 from Audi/VW dealer, mix it with distilled water (50/50 or more, depending where you are i.e. what's the lowest winter Temperature).
Your engine has aluminum, and it's very important what coolant you run. It can corrode it. Don't play with that.
When I bought my A4, I flushed the coolant and changed oil. Both were bad.
