Hi all,

So I've been trying to sort this out and I'm new and very stuck here. Hoping someone has a clever solution for this.

Symptoms;

When I can lock with the key manually it honks like normal and locks all the doors but the little red light flashes way faster, and eventually slows to normal "alarm activated" mode.

Key Fob stopped working (but manually opening the doors was fine)
Changed the batteries (and tried about 20 different ways to re sync with the single key I have)
While going through the million types of sync techniques the alarm started going off and putting the key in the ignition wouldn't it off (like I normally would do if I unlocked the car and took too long to put the key in the ignition and set off the alarm previously)

So i was forced to disconnect the -ve battery terminal which shut the car up for a bit.

Not sure where in the sequence this started happening, but I'm finding that I'm unlocking manually and getting in the car and I sit down and the doors with lock and try and engage the alarm before I can even get the door closed. This send me back under the hood to disconnect the -ve

after this happened at the gas station the windows started rolling down (passenger) and driver randomly without pressing the buttons. Crazy

I drive back home and try to get the remote to resync again and no luck so I hit google again and see something about the CLP in the truck getting wet. Mine was in a couple of inches of water (but the pump was working because I was still able to lock and unlock everything manually from drivers door at the time. So i drain, dry, contact clean the corrosion off and put it all back together.

Now the CLP is much louder, and I can't operate the locks from door manually or with the remote.

This is crazy and seems to all have started in the last couple of days.

Range has been kind of week so I just assumed it was a battery but not I feel like a shorting CLP because of the exorcism like behaviour.

Things i've done;

removed and dried CLP (pump was working the doors before the remote stopped working so I feel like they should be separate)

tried resyncing (no dice)

checked the connector for hood sensor (can't really see anything that looks like a sensor but I unplugged the cable)

Completely lost at this point.
