Cool Control arm kit changing myself Question

Hi,

I do have an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro 99,5. I'm tired of chaning control arms every 2 months and I want to buy a complete kit. Anyone knows what kit I should buy ? Meyle ? THere is also a cheap kit on ebay, its a FEBI-Bilstein kit. What kit should I chose?

Moreover , I would like to change all the parts myself. I have a garage with a lift and standard tools? Is it a job that can be done? or you need special tools. I'm not a mechanic expert by I worked on motorcycle ( Frame removal for painting and putting part back together)

Your help is really appreciated

Thanks and have a great day

Pier

Hi there

Go on the 034motorsport site. they have, I think, a good deal on upgraded control arm kit for B5 audi.
The job is quite simple. The main problem is lowering the subframe to get the rear control arm bolts out.

FCPGroton sells a good 12/13 piece kit and you also have a lifetime warranty option on the parts. They ship to Canada UPS world ease. At a good price and i haven't ever had to pay brokage fees. and always received the parts in a few days. here the number 1-877-634-0063 or visit www .fcpgroton .com As far a doing it yourself i didn't have a problem doing mine. When it came to the front rear control arms i just used a punch and gentley pounded the bolts out and back in without lower the sub frame. Just take care on the one side as the fuel line and brakes line are their

Thanks for information , they are so many aftermarket kits that I just don't know what to pick. With a lifetime warranty I feel safer. I'll have a look at it and keep you update on this repair . I miss the ride of good audi

Got their Myele kit with lifetime warranty for 700us. Could have the same kit at 640 $ without warranty but to me it worth the 60$
