Default Climate control unit problems, HELP!!!

The other day i was driving in the parking deck, and spilt a little of my coffee on the left side of my 2001 a4 climate control unit. This morning all the buttons were sticky, blah, blah, and I had to put the defrost on...Short story, The defrost was stuck, got it unstuck, but now none of the other buttons will work, auto, off, up/down fan/temp, nothing. I want to pull of the unit and clean it...but dont want to break anything. Does anyone know how to take out the climate control unit of a 2001 a4.

Default Re: Climate control unit problems, HELP!!!

I'm not 100% sure, but my friend had a 01 S4 and he mentioned something about taking out the stereo and finding screws for the whole center piece behind it. Again, not sure, but hopefully it'll help. I had to do that with mine which is a 96 A4......a bit different, but it worked. The whole center trim piece came out and everything was accessible from there.

Good luck, and be careful with your drinks from now on. LOL
