Camshaft over-retarded
Hello,
I've been recently getting a MIL indicating that camshaft is over-retarded, I unfortunately didn't write down the code.
I've had timing belt replaced last year around October and the first time this MIL came on was in January. It happened as I was driving and the engine was already warm; I didn't experience any loss of power of the car. I cleared the light and it hasn't come on for another 2 months then I cleared it again and I just had it light up today. Also, about a week ago I changed my oil; I say this because I read on another forum that this MIL can be caused by poor oil or not enough oil which is not the case as I checked the oil level after I filled it up and drove for about 10km.
So my question really is, what could be causing this MIL to come on and what steps should I take in determining the cause?
Just a note on the side, I have a vag-com and after clearing the MIL and driving for a bit I've checked with vag-com whether there was anything stored in the engine module, and it was error-free.
Thanks for any input!

Re: Camshaft over-retarded
Today, the MIL came back again but I didn't have the time to plug in my vag-com to read the code so I can post it up here which I will do tonight.
However, I can not determine when this happens because it happened before while I was driving and as well as when I drove for a while, shut off the car and started it back again after 5-10 minutes with MIL on.
Anybody had this problem before and can point me to possible resolutions or ways I can find out what exactly is causing the MIL to come on?
