For some weir reason the LCD screen on my speedometer got messed up. It became really unclear, many pixels all over the place stopped working, making it hard to read what it says on it. IS there a way to fix this without replacing the screen/ getting a new speedo?

common problem with those clusters happens to almost everyone mine right starts to fade from the top down when the interior heats up i might have a guy that can replace the lcd screen with the ribbon cabe and reflash it for i think 200 a new cluster is around 1000 at dealer once i get mine doen and im happy with it i can give you his contact info

I must have looked at half a dozen B5's when I bought mine, and they all had the same issue (including the one I bought). I'm not too concerned...all it does is show outside temperature (open the window), fuel mileage (check when you fill up), whether a door is open (listen for a whistling sound), or if you're low on washer fluid (use washer, if the windshield stays dry, you're low on fluid).
