b5 coilovers?

b5 coilovers?
so i brought my car in the shop yesterday for some minor fixes and i realized i have a broken coil spring. this of course means that it's time to upgrade so i did a little bit of research and narrowed my list down to three options:
1. bilstein sport shocks with lowering springs
2. ksport kontrol pro coilovers
3. vmaxx coilvers
i do prefer to put coilovers because i would like to be able to raise my car during the winter but i never heard of these vmaxx coilovers until today, when i came across a special offer posted on the forum. has anyone actually tried these because i like the price but i am willing to spend the extra money to get good quality parts.
cheers!

Thanks for the reply, I need to get a few more expert opinions and hopefully make up my mind asap because the ride rides like crap right now... I'll be sure to post pics

Re: b5 coilovers?
I use vmaxx. Its tolerable. You have to change your driving habits, and it does bounce quite a bit. So if you dont slow down enough going through a speedbump, your going to bounce and slam the bottom of your car onto it.
I believe they are coming out with adjustable dampners.

Re: b5 coilovers?
Ok so in the end i decided to go with the bilstein sport shocks and eibach lowering springs. I really wanted to be able to adjust my ride height, but good coilovers were too much for my budget and I would definitely not like to have my car bouncing around. Can't wait for the goodies to come in! Thanks for the replies.

Re: b5 coilovers?
Okay, so it took forever to get all the parts together because im doing a lot more than just suspension, but I have a problem with the lowering springs. I oredered a set of Eibach springs from an ebay retailer. When I started working on the car, I began with the front suspension and everything went smoothly. Once I started taking the rear apart I noticed that the new springs are not the same as the ones I have on. After spending an hour on the phone with one of the sales reps, he realized that Eibach does not offer a spring kit for the 2001 mid-year model or the previous year models (which would also fit). The spring kit fits the B6 and newer models, so I have no clue why it was listed under 2001 A4. He offered me a full refund, but I really dont want to take my front end apart again, especially because it fits and I don't even know where to get the proper rear springs... Help anyone???
