Hi , I havea great audi A4 ...Had many repair performed on it and now I dont have power steering anymore ...

At first it was noisy ...specifically when weather was warmer , I think it has to do with fluid viscosity ...and finally , its not working anymore ,..and its ever harder to turn the wheel as It would be without any power stearing as I think seals are probably gone and fluid pressure create restriction in an improper way ...Someone can tell me if its possible to do it myself and if I need specific tools ....I know its not an easy job, but im use to do most of repair myself ...Bearing change, front control arm change..etc...

Also I would like to know if this could be the pump itself ...I dont know much about that ...so if someone cand help , that would be great ...

I need to drive 10 hrs in 3 week to go back home ...and Im wondering if I can have problem ...its mostly highway ...Thanks for any help ...

I have found a link explaining how to change it , so Im OK with this part . does not seem to be hard at all...I also found part for 350$ approx...So not too bad (garage ask 1500-1800)

My biggest concern is that Im a student and I need to drive back home (10 hrs driving) with a car in this condition ...Its mostly highway ...but will I have problems ...
