1997 a4 1.8t
Hello all,
I just joined this, very new and would love some help. My '97 A4 1.8T has lately been over heating a lot, and I'm afraid it will blow up or something. Have tried to have this fixed many times, but not at Audi. Advice? Trustworthy mechanics? Thank you!

O and if your on a tight budget like me take the middle bit out of the thermostat and make sure your fan is working also put the heating full on in car it helps cooling engine but you will be hot

Re: 1997 a4 1.8t
thank you for your reply! mechanics all said they "weren't sure" exactly what it was, but one changed all of the belts and said rad was okay. i am not mechanical at all so am at the mercy of mechanics! it has helped to put on the AC because the secondary fan kicked in and cooled the engine, but as of this week that is no longer working. will try putting on the heat although it is extremely hot here!
