i would like to ask what kind of standard engine and auto transmission(triptronic) oil should i use on the 97 B5 A4?

also is there any OEM forlight for the 97 A4?

From the factory people seem to think it's a Castrol 0W-30 for both 1.8T and 2.8. I would recommend a good synthetic with VW502.11 certification for either motor (eg Mobil 1 0W-40, German Castrol 0W-30). As to the Tip, officially you should only use the OEM fluid not available anywhere else but dealerships, but Pentosin ATF-1 carries the same ratings and Pentosin claims that it has a far superior set of additives than the OEM fluid.
