project headlight evolution?!
Ok so I am planning to "restore" my headlights a bit in the next little while.
but before I start I gotta make sure its doable. So i have been digging through the internet but even tho I AM sure someone already did it I cant find anything. Stupid question that I probably know the answer but just to make sure. Do the ribs on the non-clear headlight have anything to do with light dispersion? If no, any good (not necessarily easy) method to sand them off to get the lens clear? anyway thats where I am at, after which I will paint the housing black and add a few little toys in there... i am sort of stuck at the clear the nonclear lenses thing...doable or not? bad or not so bad? thanks |

The ribs are on the inside and absolutely control the light dispersion pattern in conjunction with the shape of the reflectors. I used a Meguiars PlastX product found in Canadian Tire. it did a great job of polishing off the haze - highly recommended in my opinion. |
Re: project headlight evolution?!
