power window problems

1998 Audi A4 My front drivers side window came off track. I removed the door panel and found a plastic green broken piece in the inside of the door. The piece seems to be a guide for the front half of the window to keep it on the track. The back half has an identical piece to guide the window up and down. Does anyone have any idea what that piece is called or where i could purchase such a part? Or possibly a website search for a replacement part online? Thanks in advance.

Fairly common to wear out with higher mileage, it's a ~$2 dealer part.

Re: power window problems

There should be a part number on your broken part. Try looking up the specific part number as I know in other forums ppl have purchased it, iirc they said dealer but from your experience maybe not. I'd try some of the retailers listed in vaglinks

how do i begin fixing my passenger side rear window? i can't even see a screw to loosen and don't want to just randomly pry it apart. And is it possible to only buy the one part(green clip)
