Default need help with my ignition switch...

Hi there...got my baby, a 96 A4 2.8, last year and didn't have a problem so far...now is a pain in the a** to even try to get the key into the ignition switch, when I manage to do that some times the gauges work some don't, same thing with the lights...any ideas why is that happening and how to fix it?

I am driving a 2000 1.8T and i just had the same problem.........you need keep turning the key on and off and make sure that all lights come on before trying to start it.........once that happens drive it to a shop and tell them that you need a new ignitions switch...........the part is $30 and it cost me about an hours labour for the job..........good thing, because I thought it might have been a lot more money involved.............good luck!
