Need advice.. Thinking of buying a 1999 Audi A4

I am thinking about buying a 1999 A4 Quattro 1.8T with 120k kms. I have owned a 97 a4 before, and remember having to change the power steering pump and remember having noisy first gear (manual). I wanted to know a few things I should be looking at as the 09 to 01 A4 are known to be pretty unreliable. I guess timing belt is gonna be due as well around 120k? Thanks for the help in advance.

As long as is well maintained I would not be too worried! This is well under the average miles too! Make sure all the hoses are not hard and cracking etc... If the service records are available make sure everything is up to date!! Find a good independent mechanic in the area and have him look over the car. Tehn enjoy the damned thing and drive it like you want!

I would be very cautious about the timing belt service. My old audi a4 2001, when i took it to get it serviced at 100,000 k's the mechanic showed me how loose my timing belt was and it was a close call. I suggest you get the car but do the timing belt asap.
