Loud rubbing noise when turning steering wheel
Like the title says, there's a rather loud rubbing noise coming from deep inside behind the steering column when I turn it side-to-side. This happens both in a stand still and when driving. It seems to be getting louder as well. Any thoughts?
im not sure about the stand still but if fully turn my steering wheel to either the left or the right i think it shouldnt make sound but if i step on the gas while having it fully turned it makes a loud sound. i was told by the dealership that its normal so find out about the standing still part.
Check your power steering fluid, if you're low that noise could be coming from the pump and if you keep it low for a long time you can end up damaging it.
