Loud noise like bang/snapping/cracking
 

Hi guys,

I recently had my struts and springs replaced because the rear springs had snapped on my 1999 Audi A4. Yesterday, I was driving around 70 km/h down 170 St in Edmonton and I heard a loud snapping or cracking noise, it was only one time and my car seems to be operating as normal. I don't want to sound like a jackass but is that normal? Could it have just been a stone getting tossed against my car by a tire? Would you bother bringing it in to get it looked at? :confused: I'm starting to get sick of bringing it in because the last time I did, it cost me $2800 and for a 10 year old car, that makes me want to weep. lol.

You may have run over some debris on the road and didn't see it. If it only happened once, wouldn't worry about it.
