Smile Installing S4 lower trims on a 98 A4

does anybody have any info on replacing the black plastic trims on the rocker panels and lower doors to the S4 style. I also want to replace the front bumper cover and install fogs. I found a DIY post on AudiWorld, but it's a bit vague. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Default Re: Installing S4 lower trims on a 98 A4

My car is a 2002 but I'm pretty sure the procedure is similar for a 1998. The trims are fairly easy to remove (I removed everything when I painted my lowers a month ago).
For the sides, start by removing the trim strip, this will uncover a bunch of torx screws.

Then you need to unscrew the rest (they are in the wheel wells, under the car, etc... look well and you'll find them all).

The door blades are the easiest, just two screws on the inside of the doors and the blades slide backward and then just pull right off.

Good luck, if you have any more questions, let me know (like I said, the procedure might vary a bit for your model year but I can't see it being that different).
