Default insrument guage

hey anyone know how to romove the instrument guage in a 98 (b5) a4 .. need to replace a bulb
thanks for any responses

sorry meant to put gauge cluster like where ur speedometer i and such :P

Pull up on trim piece above steering column. This'll expose two screws, remove the screws and pull the cluster out. You'll have to reach inside to disconnect the harnesses that're attached to the cluster. There's a clip that you have to pull back for the harnesses to come off. I usually go from the left side. Just be careful not to crack the cluster. Rotate bulbs counter clockwise and they come out. I replaced all of them with 12v 1.5W bulbs even if they're 1.1 or 1.2v originally. Much brighter that way.
