Default Info display - brake warning

My B5's info display - much like everyone else's, no doubt - has about half the pixels working at any given time. That doesn't bug me (too much), but how do I turn off the brake wear warning? The brakes are non-Audi specific, so the wires are not connected, so I get the beep when I shift into gear, and the yellow warning display never goes away. Can it be disabled?

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel25.shtml - need to find the sensor wires and join the ends to fake a completed circuit.

I just replaced my pads, and put in new ones with sensors. My warning light is still on however, saying they still need to be replaced. Is there any way to reset this?
