front lower rear control arm

hey guys,

i need some advice as my front lower rear control arm has come off. thank god i wasnt driving on the highway! anyway i followed the instructions in removing the inner bolt by loosening up the plate that holds the subframe. but it still does not give me enough clearance to be able to remove it...(picture below)

Re: front lower rear control arm

You could try placing a support under the trans and loosen both rear subframe bolts to allow the rear of the subframe to drop just enough to pull out the control arm bolt. I would support the subframe itself too. You should not have to remove the subframe bolts, just loosen them off enough to gain the needed clearance. Note there should be subframe alignment holes on each side to help you center it again when re-assembling. Technically you should get an alignment every time the subframe is adjusted, but if your careful to line it all up again you should be fine.
