Hey guys, new member! Just wanted to say that this forum is a great tool for everyone who needs help when their audi is sick lol. Also as a great community for the audi enthusiast.


Anyways I have a quick question....... Has anyone installed a fog light kit on an older b5 model that doesn't have stock fogs? If so, what would be a good alternative cuz stock fogs cost my first born lol...... Much appreciated

You guys know that fogs were builtin to the main 1 piece headlight assembly for B5's prior to 98.5 right. When the 2 piece headlights came out for the 99 model year, the fogs got moved down to individual lamps in the lower bumper and acted as the DRL's in Canada.

To retrofit that style of fog in the early B5 you'll need to do some rewiring, replace the lower grill with ones that have the foglight cutouts and add the fog assemblies themselves. Parts off the 99 or later models should fit since the frontend style didn't really change until the B6 came out.

Still a bit expensive but well worth the try.
