1998 A4 2.8 - Car sustained some front end damage, so I've removed the ac forever. Not a huge ac guy. Is the electric fan (now smashed) part of the cooling system, or just for the AC? Keep in mind the car also has a belt driven clutch fan.
If I can get away without that fan, then I will. If not, I'll have to source another!

It believe its only for the AC...I could be wrong though. I've only seen the electric fan on when you turn the AC on. You should get it fixed....its a sport luxury. Don't take away the luxury.

 

drivers side fan a must, pass side fan for ac.. NO ac, no need for it.

I find AC components tend to get in the way under the hood, in this case they were all smashed up anyways. Got a new radiator and headlights in today, should look somewhat normal by the weekend!
