That is the least they can do ...:)
My dealer wanted like $100 if I recall for a simple rear bulb light. I consulted the forum bought a light from canadian tire wore gloves and replaced it myself after seeing a complete how to step by step video on youtube! |

Adam,
If you treat other people's cars the way you treat yours, that shop won't be around very long. I'd hate to drop my car off to have a dent removed only to have it returned with holes drilled in the airbox, the engine soaked in booze, and homemade nitro in the tank. |

just do what they ask you to do and don't provide them with any other services. then you'll be fine.

Re: Charged $350.00 for 1 lightbulb replacement
Seriously, $350 to change a light blub. There must be more to this story... I've had the dealer change brake lights in my car for $30.00

Dealer had to diagnose the problem and they charged me $200.00 for that. They probably knew right away what was happening, but they used me to do this hidious thing. They will never see my car again and I tell everybody to go to their competition here in Cowboy town. |

Re: Charged $350.00 for 1 lightbulb replacement
I have taken my car into Glenmore Audi before... I needed to get the recall on the coil packs done. I'm sitting in the front entry way and the service manager comes in and says “there is a problem". Apparently, all they did was open the hood and a coolant hose blew up??? WTF? So I go in to see it; mostly out of disbelief. They had the snorkel removed and a plastic elbow right underneath it had the overflow hose connection (Hard plastic) broken off. I ask "Is that just the overflow hose connected to the elbow? No pressure in it even?" They are like "Yeah, it just snapped off when we opened the hood, we haven’t even started working on it yet".
Now if they were telling the truth I will have to assume they removed the snorkel to find the leak but I'm just saying, the snapped pipe was right beside a coil pack and right under the snorkel. I was then informed the new elbow was in California and it would be 4 days to get the part in. It was Wednesday which would get me back on the road on Tuesday... In the end as we talked it through one of the mechanics remembered they had an old engine laying around with one it. They installed it for free and only charged me $20 for the part. Now if it really did just break off by itself, it was awesome service. If it didn't, I got lied to and extorted into paying $20 for a used part to replace one they broke. Then I thanked them for it. I will let you guys be the judge. I know what I think and next time something goes wrong I know Tunedub or Royal Oak will also... |

Yeah right on 2005
They open the hood and that thing just jumps into their faces by itself like a snake |
