Brakes Issue - 2001 Audi A4 1.8t

Whenever I apply the brakes on my A4, the car starts to stutter. The problem started a few days ago and seems to be coming from the back side of the car.

I've decided to take it to a mechanic to figure out exactly what's wrong, and I'm wondering what people's opinions are about dealer vs private garages. I've had some expensive trips to the dealer, including a 150.00 oil change. I'm trying to save some $ and go to a different garage (Treff's Tire in Ottawa). What do you guys think? Is it a bad idea to veer away from the dealer for maintenance?

since your in ottawa. I 100% advise you to go to autobahn tuning in manotick. The mechanic there todd knows these cars inside out and charges very fair prices for good quality work. Pretty much half the price ofmarks motors and much better service and job done.
