B5 a4 airconditioning fan

im just curious have any of you had issues with your air conditioning fan bearing. Iv replaced the bearing in mine twice in the last 6 years because they have shreaded in half and started to sound like a wining dieing animal. How common is this?

hey I have the same issue with my 2001 A4 how much did it cost you to solve this annoying problem. It`s embarassing when you own a nice car and people get in and are like what`s that annoying whine! Thanks

pulled the fan out and took it to an electric motor shop ....20 bucks to get it fixed ... a lot cheaper than buying a new fan
