The sensors are know no be weird sometimes you eed to vag-com it erase any error codes. disable your interior monitoring (if you have any) a button between driver and rear passenger pillar on the bottom turn it off.

Other than disabling the interior monitoring, check to see if your hood latch has come loose. This has solved the problem you're having for some people, the latch was a little loose and when it was tightened the problem never occurred again.

mine goes off on hot summer days if I leave the windows open.

come to think of it... it's done it a few times with the windows up. But only on hot days, never in the winter or cooler summer days.

On hot days when you leave the windows down the wind can even set it off at times. Just turn off the sensor and you should be fine.

that happened to me, i have a switch on the pillar beside the drivers seat, where the belt goes. if you turn that off it disables the interior sensor. It was making my alarm go off with breezez of wind or anything.
