Re: a4 b5 woodtrim removal...help

The door trims are easy. There are 4 screws holding it on. One on the inside of the door handle (look from the front to see it). After that screw is off, remove the plastic cover it was holding place (tricky at first but basically slides out) You will find another screw behind that, remove also. The is also a screw in the top front and top back of the door, remove the two. Now pull up on the door trim (Using the handle) and it will just come out (Easy). Make sure to disconnect all eletrical connections. Upon closer inspection of the inside of the door trim, you will see how the wood trim is held on (With a metal clasp type washer)

Now that you see how they are held in place, you will realize that the ones in the dash will be much harder to remove and re-install. I don't know if there is an easier way, but almost the entire bottom half of my dash was removed for me to take off these trims. Its drastic yes (Like I said I do not know if there is an easier way to remove them, but my car was being stripped out anyways so this was the easiest way for me)

Removing the door panels will be the best (and easiest) visual to understand how they are held in place though. Hope that helps.
