The rims in question are most likely a 17" or 18" rim, I've seen then in both sizes. To figure out the size of tire you need keeping the proper outer diameter so your speedo stays in check you can plug your original tire size into this online calculator and play around with tire sizes to get the proper outer diameter... Tire size calculator

I'm guessing at the ride height but it looks like it is lowered about 1.5" and you can do this with lowering springs which would be the cheapest option. You will also want to get shocks that are designed for lowered cars as well so the suspension works properly.

The wheels shown are not likely OEM as they don't have OEM caps. That said they do look like 18's. As far as lowing is concerned, Corrado is right that lowering springs will achieve the look BUT ride wont be ideal and dont expect the shocks to last ... For what its worth, I had Neuspeed Bilsteins with OEM springs on my B5. They shock bodies have notches to allow some height adjustment. They lowered the car nicely and more importantly improved the handling immensely without providing a harsh ride.

I'm not sure what the fender to ground measurements were for the B5 but for comparisons sake, my B6 USP stock height (sport package) was approx. 27" fender to ground. Here's what it looked like after being lowered on coilovers to a shade over 25" fender to ground:

Lowering a car takes more than just replacing your springs. You could get away with it for a while but the consequences are blown shocks/struts down the line. I suggest replacing the shock/strut when considering replacing the springs to a shorter one. But then again, I have always been an advocate of "getting it done properly or don't do it". I have posted a thread regarding deals on coilover kits and the may be found HERE. Hope this helps!

Hey doj! The coilover suspension is a complete kit, no need to purchase a separate shock/strut combo! I recently ordered them for my car and is currently counting the days when UPS knocks on our door! IMO, these are cheaper than buying the Lowering Spring Kit (pricing HERE!) + Shocks/Struts Combo (pricing HERE!) which would usually run you around $7-850 (or more) total! Plus with the Vmaxx kit, you have the option to lower your car to the desired ride height you want and not get stuck with too little or too much drop!!!

EDIT: Make sure to order the specific item for your car (i.e. Quattro models vs. FWD models). For the FWD kit, click HERE to place your order!
