Hi I have a 1997 Audi A4 2.6L V6 DOHC. Great car - but I am having problems starting it... I think the problem may have occured when I ran it out of fuel (deliberately - to see fuel gauge / fuel warning light calibration..) I suspect that there is some fuiel blockage - that sometimes prevents the car from starting - I have never had the engine stop and once it starts its fine - it may go for a month without any issues - but then will have difficulty starting. Can occur with cold or warm engine. Have had the fuel filter replaced... the local mechanic is trying to work out where to start... anyone else have ideas - fuel regulator seems to be implicated in other threads... I could be way off and it could be electronics - but I dont think so... it got worse in last month - and I actually had 75 ignition / starter goes before it kicked into life...
