Recoding time/date and miscellaneous – Select [17. Instruments], [1. Control Unit Info] and write down ECU coding if you would like to go back to those regular settings. Select [9. Code Module] Enter a 5-digit code from the numbers below.
First two digits of code are for optional equipment. 00 – no available equipment. 01 – brake pad wear sensor 02 – seatbelt warning active 04 – washer fluid level warning active. 16 – navigation system Third digit of coding is for country code 1 – Europe (changes to 24hr clock, km) 2 – USA (changes to 12hr clock, miles) 3 – Canada (changes to 24hr clock, km) should be 12hr clock but didn’t work. 4 – Great Britian (changes to 24hr clock, miles) 5 – Japan (changes to 24hr clock, km) 6 – Saudi Arabia (changes to 24hr clock, km) 7 – Australia – (changes to 24hr clock, km) Forth digit is for number of cylinders 3 No service interval [2002+ models] 4 – 4 cylinders 5 – 5 cylinders 6 – 6 cylinders Fifth digit is number of travel impulses 0 – TDI engine 1 – 4358 2 – 3648 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Service Light Reset - [17. Instruments], [6. Adaption] enter “02” adapted number: 1 press down and adapted number: will change to 0 press [OK] service light has now been rest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fuel level Indi. Ada. (Adjusts the instrument cluster fuel level) [17. Instruments], [6. Adaption] in channel enter “030” use up/down to change value [note: fuel level gauge should change as you do this] “OK” to save new value. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Deactivate/Activate Airbags & Saftybelts. [15. Airbags], [8. Adaption] in channel enter 01 – for passenger air bag 02 - for drivers air bag 03 - for passenger side air bag 04 - for drivers side air bag 05 - for passenger seatbelt 06 - for drivers seatbelt. Press up/down to change adaptation number. [0] to activate, [1] to deactivate. Press ok to save new value. To tell if a component is disabled, when ignition is first turned on, the airbag warning light will come on 3-4 seconds and will then blink for 15 seconds then go out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Airbag Fault Reset - [15. Airbag], [2. read fault code] write down code. Push right button to go back, and then select [4. Clear Fault Codes] |

BTW, I have the Pro version and want to know if I can program the transmission at all. When I hit the gas there is a lag before the trans engages and would like to remove the lag. Ideas?
