A New 2011 S4 Owner : Opinions and What to Expect
Hey Guys,
Been driving a 1999 A4 (up for sale) for the last 5 years and decided to upgrade and signed the papers for a CPO 2011 S4. It comes with B&O Sound, Navigation, SD and Drive Assistance. It's the Meteor Grey with Magna Red/Black interior. With the price I negotiated (4000 Less) I was able to add the appearance package, Audi Care, 3M and Tint. They are also putting brand new summer tires. What do you guys think of my purchase ? As some one who has owned a B5 I am not a novice to experiencing electrical and mechanical gremlins of an Audi ownership. So on that what can I expect with the S4 on the short term and long term ? The CPO warranty will last me till 2017 June. Thanks |

Short term= Expect the best car you've ever driven with no issues
Long term = Expect the best card you've ever driven with no major issues, normal wear and tear I had a 2011 S4 I put 22K on it before I switched to my current A7. I miss it every day. Congrats and enjoy - Post pics |

Picked up my S4 and went to bed with a big smile on my face. Even my fiance said she has never seen me smile this much.
I am a very conscious driver and do not like to speed or race on the roads, because of this the best part of owning this car is, when you come to a red light and on the left lane when you need to get on the right lane in a hurry, it is definitely not a problem, any more :D. The way it gets to 60KPH (Canada), I was smiling ear to ear every time I stepped on the gas at a red light. My gas consumption is going to take a hit the first few fill ups. I also spent the better part of the day playing around with the MMI. I have to say until you sit inside the car and play with it you just don't realize how much of a refined interior this car has. Even the MMI becomes intuitive to control. After owning the B5 this is most definitely an upgrade :D Will post pictures soon. As a photographer want to take some nice pictures myself. |

BTW, how many of the B8 S4 owners in this forum have the IC radiator filter installed or have the DIY filter done ?

That looks like a really clean car, Congrats. I've been at Audi for a few years so from my end I'd just say keep on top of your maintenance. Mainly doing DSG fluid changes on time please. Otherwise it's an AWESOME car, you will love it!

I purchased Audi Care when I bought it. Does those scheduled maintenance takes care of the DSG fliud changes or is it something I will have to do outside those maintenance schedules ? |
