Ziza led bulb for daytime headlights
Hello all!
I purchased a set of white led Ziza bulbs from ECStuning.com. These were intended to replace the daytime headlight bulbs on my 2007 A3 S-Line with Bi-Xenon headlights. On the photo, the bulbs I want to replace (the ones that light up in day time) are in the green circle.
Problem is, that the LED lights I received are very small, and are supposed to go where there is the red cricle on the photo.
ECS tells me that in the USA, the daytime lights are the smal ones (in red). But here, whatever light setting I use, never do the small lignts (in red) come on.
So I'm trying to make sure that I'm not the only one with this problem, or if someone has resolved it? Trying to get a refund, but I need to make sure my case is solid. Dealer tells me these lights never come on.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Luc

Re: Ziza led bulb for daytime headlights
Pretty sure that's the way it's supposed to work (that's how it works on my 2008 A4 with bi-xenons ). The light in the red circle is called a city light in Europe and is on when the headlights or parking lights are. The light in the green circle is a 21W bulb and on only as the DRL. It goes out when you turn on the parking lights or the headlights.
Using VCDS I'm pretty certain you can turn on the foglights to be your DRL instead of the one in the green circle it that's what you want; one of the advantages of the A3 over A4 due to the CAN-BUS electronics.
