Question -2007 A3 with 1 yr Warranty
I have just bought a 2007 A3 with 50 000kms, as far as I know i still have 1 year warranty left on it.
Is there anyone or anywhere I can call or take it to see if there is any outstanding warranty work that needs to be done.
I live in the east end of the GTA if anyone has any suggestions!
Thanks everyone.

Did you buy your Audi at the dealer or from a private? The reason I ask is that, most of the time, when you buy a used audi at the dealer you get a extra 2yrs/or 40k km extra on your waranty.

Re: Question -2007 A3 with 1 yr Warranty
I bought it through a private dealer.
I took it into a dealer for a look over and that’s when they said the mechatronics needed to be replaced. I called Audi of Canada and after a few weeks of haggling I got them to pay for the mechatronics part, which costs over $2000!
The reason i think they went for it is because its a 07 with only 50000kms on it.
It still to be put in but I really hope it solves the symptoms I have.

Re: Question -2007 A3 with 1 yr Warranty
Indeed it should!
There shouldn't be any issues ( minor and or major) past 100,000km.... I'm over 100k km and besides two light bulbs, all is going fine!
Good luck!
cheers

Re: Question -2007 A3 with 1 yr Warranty
Well the Mechatronics unit was replaced and the car is much better now!
It did cost me $800, but i think it is worth it. I finally drives smooth and is switching gears beautifully.
I do want to commend Audi of Canada for stepping up and paying $2500 for the part, because without that there was no way i would have been able to pay for it all.

The mechatronic was recalled and replaced on 2008 A3. both parts and labour. Don't know if that recall applies to other model years. You may want to look into it.

Check post 94 here:

If your car was built within the production date range of vehicles, ask Audi if your car- VIN number- is included in their Customer Satisfaction Campaign 35B1/J8 to replace the Mechatronic Unit
Audi notified me January 2010 and again in September 2010 to book an appointment with a no-charge loaner car included.
You an also call 1-800-253-2834 to inquire, ref 35B1/J8
Hope that this helps someone.
Also your transmission warranty could be extended to 10 years if you've had a problem per post #9 here:
