Btw, would you know which model (year 06,07,0 or the package that came stock with the bi-xenons?
Yes. I'm not too up on the packages. My '10 is S Line but apart from badging I'm not sure what is different from the base model.

the 3.2 vr6 is a 4 valve per cylinder engine, and made its debut in the 2004 R32 / TT.

Its actually quite the opposite, it feels much faster. Under 100km/h there is no comparison, however on the highway the extra weight takes its toll.

However if you are comparing the 3.2q to a 2.0T quattro, the 3.2 is hands down much faster and more responsive in every situation, seeing as the 2.0T quattro lost its weight advantage.

Anyways at equal speeds the 3.2 is a better driving experience in every way,

The VR6 is an old design but I think you are right on the 4 valves. The Audi salesman is the one who told me it was a 2 valve engine?????? I never did get to drive a 3.2 car so I'll never know how much of a difference there is now.

well your salesman doesnt know much about cars.

Even the 2.8L VR6 (found in GTi's and GLi's) switched from 2 to 4 vavles in 2003.

Ok ok, I'm feeling more and more comfortable about getting an '08 3.2 now.
But if I read you right, the 2.0T without the Quattro is as fast or faster then the heavier 3.2 in a continuous straight line?

The 3.2 is faster, but the difference is not as large as you would expect given the 50hp advantage as well as the price difference. On the highway, a chipped 2.0T FWD will probably be faster than a 3.2, but i'm just guessing.

Hey,

I have 2007 A3 3.2 Quattro with the DSG. What I like about it almost everything. This is my first Audi so I cant tell you what the 2.0T feels like.

What I dont like about it is how stiff it is. I can feel every bump. (Then again maybe I am just getting old)

I usually get between 10 - 11 L/100km in the city, on the Hwy its about 9 - 10. But it depends what you drive like. But if you step on it allot then you will be filling it up allot.

The only thing the car doesn't have is the navigation system. It handles great !! I got two sets of tires so I put the 16 on for the winter and 17 during the summer. Maintenance I do myself so its not that bad.

I haven't had any issues with the transmission or anything else other then the adaptive light warning came on a few weeks back.

If you would like to know anything else let me know.

cheers !
