Looking in a 06 A3 3.2
So I'm about to look at a 2006 3.2 and wanted some pointers in what to look for when I finally see the car this week. I've searched the site, and others, but I find that there's not much about the 3.2 in general, understandably since there aren't many out there and less of a mod friendly car. Not looking into modding it engine wise.
Obviously the 3.2 doesn't suffer from the same issues as the 2.0T but does it have it's own share issues that I should really look for when I see the car? It's got 100k and the guy is asking 18.5k$
Sorry if this question comes up a lot.

Not sure if you're still looking for input, and yes, according to my dealer I'm the first person that this happens....got my 3.2 with 47,000 km fresh from the dealer and it blew the rear differential after 500 km. Make sure if and when you test drive that there's no loud whining noise coming from the rear on acceleration and deceleration. It seems (again according to the dealer) that this is the telltale sign that the diff is about to go south. I don't know yet what the repair costs, they're waiting for the part and thank goodness for CPO warranty!
As for the price, that seems a bit high, at least if I look at autotrader.ca.

Wow glad you got a CPO on your car.
I actually ended up getting a 2004 A4 1.8T Ultrasport. When I Carfax'd the A3 3.2 it had a accident in the past and the current owner didn't know anything about it.
