How to turn off Adaptive Headlights dashboard warning light
hello,
I have a 2007 Audi A3, 3.2 Quattro. The car has Adaptive Headlights. The Adaptive Headlight warning light came on the dashboard so when I got my last oil change, I asked the dealer to take a look.
They said the left headlight and ballast needs replacement. That will cost $939. It may also need a new headlight assembly which would be a total of $1875!
I don't want to fix it. The adative headlights are nice, but not that nice!
But the problem is the dealer said they can't turn off the dashboard warning light. The only way to stop the warning light is to get the headlight fixed. So now I have a large blinking light constantly in the dashboard.
Is there anything I can do to turn off the dashboard light besides spending all that cash to fix it?
Thanks

Re: How to turn off Adaptive Headlights dashboard warning light
hey,
I had the same problem, I never figured out how to get rif of the flashing indicator. I ended up taking the headlight out and in my case the rod bewteen the little motor and and the headlight came off. So i took the who headlight unit apart into little piece this is very easy. I fixed the rod and havent had a problem since.
What you can also do is chek a wreck yard. Most of the time they have hadlights that they cant sell the whole unit bc its broken but they will sell you the parts for alot less.
