I just did my first oil change but can't seem to figure out how to reset the service warning. I thought you just push the right hand trip reset while you turn the key on but that doesn't seem to work.

Press the Service wrench and hold it down with the 0,0 button down and the reset button on the right hand side arm, I think thats the wiper arm cant remember

I still can't get thing to clear for the life of me. I've tried the suggested method in the manual of pulling the right hand **** till you see service then hit the reset on the wiper arm but that doesn't do anything but bring me to the menu screen. I can get that by just pressing the reset

So 1move or anyone else.
Do you mean I press the left and right buttons at the same time and then hit the reset? Do I turn the ingition on while pressed or does it matter? I'm need specific instructions. I'll admit when i'm beat and until further idea's I'm beat haha

Who ever thought clearing a service reminder could be so hard?

I have a 2001 A3.
I tried pressing both CLOCK and ODOMETER buttons together whilst turning the ignition key...and hey presto a result!!
