EMS warning light

EMS warning light
One really cold morning (-20C) the low coolant warning came on for about 30s then went away (haven't seen it since then, but the temperature outside has gone up since then) . The next day the engine management system light came on and it's been on for a day now.
I checked the coolant level and it's between the min and max levels (about midway). Could it be that the cold whether is messing with the sensors, which caused the EMS light to come on? Should I get this checked, there doesn't seem to be any obvious problems with the engine and my last oil change/maintenance was a month ago with no issues. Thanks.
