Default A3 Winter Floor Mats

Recently purchased a set of floor mats from weather tech, they did not even come close to fitting the front pegs (off by around 2 inches). Company was real cool and easily accepted the return but it was a waste of time, material was real nice though a real upgrade from what you would find at Cdn Ture.

I thought they would be a perfect fit (esp for the $$price) as many companies on the net advertise they are perfect fit, but in fact this one was not even close which was a real surprise. The attached pic should say it all or am I being picky..I don't think so..I expect a perfect fit front and back.

Did any one have any luck from any other (non Audi OEM) firms where the mats actually fit. Cheers.

Looks to far off alright - shouldn't miss on the advertising front by that much; how about measuring the distance between the pegs, sending off to Weathertech and have them confirm which mats might even come close.

Did WeatherTech have another option to send you? I'm looking for some winter floor mats as well and would have ran into the same problem if you didn't warn me!

What are you going with as an alternative?

I did not send WT the measurements but I provided them with jpegs with the photos via email and in the return package, I was actually hoping they would say something..I'll ask them specifically and report back if they say anything. But note it was not just the pegs holes that did not fit, the cutout for the gas pedal etc did not fit as well.

I'll ask them and see what they say. Right now I am thinking just to go with the Audi mats, I found out they have some after I ordered these by browsing around on ebay and the prices did not look to bad (still have yet to call dealer for pricing). A friend of mine says Lloyd's may have them, they specialize in german cars apparently but I have not looked into that yet.

just go get it from the dealer, perfect fit for front and rear, tell them you are the forum member and see if you can get the dealer price, that way you may save few bucks

I am surprised at the Weathertech non fit. I have a set for my car and the fit is perfect. In fact I use them year round to save the OEM mats.

Audi of Richmond here in Vancouver has a floor mat special at $123.95 at the moment; maybe your local dealers have something similar.

I called them to figure out what the issue was. The "Floor Liner" model is a perfect fit for the A3 and custom made to each car. The "All Weather Liner" which is what I bought is a universal fit product, hence the non fit on my A3. It may have said that on the Web Site but I did not see it. The Floor Liner module is significantly more expensive than the OEM Audi mats so I am just going to go for those, as a couple of other have commented. But no specials here in Ottawa lol

I got a set of floor liners for my 2010 A3 from WeatherTech and they fit perfectly. I've purchased floor liners for all of my other vehicles in the past and they're awesome. Cough up the extra few bucks to get the floor liners from WeatherTech; you won't be sorry.
