Reading the car manual I see that all three mirrors are supposed to be auto-dimmed. I do see the interior rear view mirror dimming on a bright light from behind but can not notice anything happening with the side mirrors. Dealer says this car does not have side auto dimmed mirrors, only the center one. Manual though does not show side mirrors with this feature as a separate option, so I assumed that if I have the interior mirror dimmed the side mirrors should do it too.
I would appreciate any feedback on this subject.

It's true, I noticed and read the same thing. Like you, my auto-dimming interior mirror works very well, but my exterior mirrors seems haven't the auto-dimming.

I assume that this option is only available in Europe (or perhaps even the United States). If you read the list of equipment in the Canadian brochure, you will read:

- Exterior mirror housings painted in body color
- Exterior mirrors, Electrically adjustable and heated
- Auto-Dimming Interior Mirror w-Digital Compass

They don't speak about the "dimming" of the external mirrors.

I agree, it seems Canadian cars are not equipped with this feature. So we pay more and get less. (I am still pissed that perforated sports seats offered in the US were not available here )

It is accurate that only the interior mirror in the A3 is Auto-Dimming, unfortunately. The exterior dimming mirrors are not an option on the Canadian car.
