New Member: LED Tail Light Question with Pics
 

Hey Guys,

New Audi Owner/Member here! I just wanted to say hi and ask a question regarding the oem LED tail light upgrade. I was about to buy these as my first mod:

Original OEM Audi A3 S3 8P 8PA Sportback LED Lights Taillights from Model 2009 ! | eBay

Im a little nervous however... from what I gather the installation and wiring it straight-forward (2009+ Euro spec into my 2008 ) given it comes with the plug and play adapter... and all I would need to do is take it to any audi dealer and have them encode it? Is that it? or am I overlooking something? Is the trip to the dealer going to cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks

If it is OEM you will need an harness adapter, and you will also have to do a wire splice with the lights from the plates.
Concerning vag encoding you should go to any vw/audi specified garage near your location, audi dealer won't be able to do it for you.

Did you end up installing them? I was also looking at those lights
