A3 Wheels

Does anyone know if the stock rims from a 99 A4 1.8t (205/55/16) will fit the A3? I've been getting conflicting information: the dealer says they won't but a tire specialty shop says they will. I want to use them for winter tires. Thanks.

I got the same answer from my dealer and would tend to trust their knowledge over any tire shop. I actually have rims from a 2002 VW Jetta and those would likely fit on the A4 of the same year range but unfortunately not the A3. If you’re not sure, I would contact a couple of Audi dealerships to make sure the responses are the same. I will just buy some good winter tires and use the wheels that came with the car and buy some high performance wheel sets and tires for the summer.

Hi

You might have the 5 spokes wheels if you got the sport package: these are the same as the sport package wheels of the A4 2002. If you can, put the 16" on. The only issue might be brake clearance. The Jetta wheels don't fit. The old ones were 5x100, and the new ones are 5x112 but have a too big offset.
