Hello,

I am in the market for a a3 and have come across an a3 s-line abt with 70k miles that I am interested in buying.

Any insight on some common problems for this model of car, things to look for etc would be greatly appreciated.

Also does anyone have any experience with the ABT model?

Plenty of recalls... PCV vlave, Diverter valve, and Cam follower. You should make sure the original owner replaced the cam follower, if it's broken and is lingering in your engine, it's the last thing you want to deal with. It's covered by Audi's extended warranty, but since it's a ABT model, they'll probably laugh you off.... The other parts are easy to replace and some what inexpensive....

 

I'd have to check the warranty book, but I think 70k is approaching a major service which includes spark plugs and a few other things. About $400 or so.
