2011 Year of the Bling?
 

Dropped by my local dealership today and had a look at the 2011 A3.

Chrome accents on the door handles and a very glossy front grille. Seems like things are getting pretty blingy. Not on the same level as the cartoonified Mazda front end but heading in that direction. Can't say I'm a fan as I preferred the more subdued matte grille and could do without the accents on the handles.

Anybody else seen the 2011's. Do you like the gloss grille and chrome accents? :confused:

Pretty much all German Auto makers are following behind the American and Japanese Auto makers by adding these chromes to their handles, Benz and Lexus are famous for this. It's a really an inexpensive way to make the outside of the car look more sporty and luxurious. I guess since the A3 is getting a MAJOR redesign (I think in 2012) this is the last year to try and make the car a little different.

I personally don't' like a little bit of chrome but not much. it looks pretty good on darker colors but not on the light ones.
