2011 Audi A3 changes:

The A3 receives visual enhancements including:

- Exterior upgrades:

o High gloss grille
o High gloss finish B pillar
o Chrome accents at fog lamps
o Chrome accent on exterior door handles
o Lower profile exterior mirrors
o New standard wheel on A3 2.0 TFSI and A3 TDI
o Titanium Package receives a new wheel

- Interior upgrades:

o Aluminum finish mirror and power window switches
o Enhanced flattened look sport steering wheel (where equipped)
o Colour design enhanced instrument gauges
o High gloss black air outlets

- Audio package replaces symphony 6 disc CD with Concert single CD for
reduced price to improve customer appeal.

I was hoping for the 'new-look' A3 this year but it seems I'll have to wait. They really need the A3 designed with the latest A4\A1 sexified look!

Thanks for this information. I am considering an A3 TDI, but got hung up on deciding between a 2010 and 2011. The differences seem fairly small but after having test driven and explored the 2010 model I'm having trouble committing to the unseen 2011 version.

Do you know when the 2011s will be in Canada or when the audi.ca or dealer documentation will reflect these changes?

I just don't know what something like "Colour design enhanced instrument gauges" means. Or am I making too big a deal about these "cosmetic" changes?

...or would you rather wait for the new design rumoured to arrive in 2012... not that you can rely on rumours however!

it was facelifted in 09 and shares the exact same front end as the a4/a5

The 2011 A3 TDI has arrived. Same car, except for the shifter.

Front end yes.... but the rest hasn't changed in a while.
Note side door panels for but one example - still the old bumper gaurds, not sleeker looking A4\5 styling

Still no Quattro with manual transmission :(
