2009 A3 2.0t mods
 

Hi guys,

I'm not a hardcore tuner and i'm also new to the audi brand and I just got myself a 2009 A3 2.0t.

I think I'm gonna chip it and maybe also install a blowoff valve and maybe a cold air intake. I wonder if you guys have suggestions of brands or other mods that could be fun but are not gonna cost me an arm ... ;)

BTW, Independent Tuning (Ontario) is a reputable shop and has been on various Audi forums for a while.

Revo is pretty good. I read your post and question the blow-off valve and cold air intake......
Do you realize this is a TFSI engine???

My suggestion, do your homework with a reputable chip tuner and stay away from those sites that that "profess" those huge HP gains. 99.9% are full of crap and have no clue of what they're talking about. Most of that is copy and paste from other sites.

blow-of valve, NO only a noise maker (kinda like taking Micky Mouse to the race track)
cold air intake, NO and this engine is a TFSI

as far as i know audi uses a closed loop system so you can not use a blow off valve...a bypass valve is possible, but wont give you any gain...

Check out APR. They specialize in Audi/VW. Probably an authorized dealer near you.
