115K service for DSG A3

I was quoted $2400 from two Audi dealers in GTA for the 115K service on 06 DSG A3.

Anyone here that got this done?? if so, where??

Mine is 06 A3 fully loaded with Navi..which had MSRP of $45K CDN back in 2006. (The Navi alone was $4k option....) The black book value on this car now is less than 19k.....

I am still on original brake pads, battery, wiper, shocks, etc which probably require a replacement within a year for a rough combined cost of $2k..

I am not sure how I can justify the maintenance cost ($4k within a 6~12months) compared to getting into a new car... new CC is so tempting :D

Any recommendations or thoughts?

Thanks and sorry for the long post.

$2400 seems a lot for a 115K service - is there a timing belt replacement or some other expensive item involved? From the cost perspective, you need to amortize the cost of that over the projected lifetime of the replacement though it sounds like you are fairly high up in the km driven per year spectrum. If you get into a new car note that you will be paying for depreciation over that same 3-4 year period; expect that will be a lot more than cost of repairs :-) :-)

Thanks for the reply Alex & a4audi4fun

Yes it includes timing belt, dsg oil & filter change, air filter and etc..
the dsg oil filter change alone is somewhere around $500-600 and timing belt is like $1000...

not many Audi dealers have done a dsg oil & filter change yet..as they don't even know it is required unless you tell them...which worries me the most..

I've had a exprience of losing half of my engine oil due a Dealer (my other non Audi car) service tech not re-installing the lug properly...

I may seek out other indenpedent dealers like Alex suggested...
