winter tires???
I've new A3 Quattro and I'd like your input as to what winter tires select for the car. I drove Golfs on Toyos before, so I want to find out if the Quattro alows for something less demanding or is there no difference. I have quote for Blizzaks for reasonible price, but I read that they don't last that long as the other brands. The size I'm looking for is 224/45/17 or 205/50/17 as I've extra mags that I can use.

Re: winter tires???
I am sure there will be some A3 owners who will offer some personal advise here as well, just be patient.
Good luck and welcome to the forum. Good to have you here.

Re: winter tires???
I ran them on my Lexus IS250 last year and they offered excellent grip in snow without loss of traction. They're also fairly quiet. I'm going to swap the tires onto my A3 this winter.

Re: winter tires???
Consider the Dunlop Winter Sport, they are excellent in the snow and still very good on dry and wet roads, and they are quiet. This is a big plus in Vancouver where we don't run into snow that often, but if you drive into the interior or Whistler you definitely need winter tires.
